Heat & Glo · Gas fireplace
LED Off LED not flashing - no power to module
What the control is telling you
No LED activity on the DSI module means the module is not getting 110/120 VAC or has failed.
Applies to: Older Heat-N-Glo DSI gas fireplaces with RAM 1MC1-01/-05, RAM-1-RS, CFX-DA, Grand-50-C (120 VAC modules); LED applies to RAM 1MC1, CFX-DA and Grand-50-C
Likely causes
- Breaker off or junction box wiring fault
- On/Off rocker or wall switch not passing power
- Failed DSI module
Test and repair steps
- Check for 110/120 VAC at the REM receptacle on the junction box. None = check the breaker and the junction box wiring.
- With the rocker ON, measure from the black wire on the switch to the On/Off pin (yellow wire) on the module: 110/120 VAC expected.
- Measure AC HOT (black) to AC RTN (white) at the module. If 110/120 VAC is there and the LED is still dark, replace the module.
- On units with a high-temperature limit switch, check it too (see the ignitor will not spark guide).
